I was not sure if I could get any more posts in until later today, due to traveling. Fortunately, I was able to watch the last of the episodes of my two season passes for the week. Today, I will be reviewing Inuyasha: The Final Act episode 4.

As I was gave a series synopsis in an earlier post, I will not go over it again.

After having encountered another sword that absorbs demonic aura, Inuyasha has the sword that his enemy wielded examined by Totosai, who says that the forge was a failed attempt to make a demon sword. When he adds that Inuyasha would have lost if it was forged successfully, Inuyasha decides to make Tessaiga stronger by finding the real thing. Meanwhile, Sesshomaru is trying to make Tenseiga's Meido Zangetsuha stronger and Koga confronts demons that were spawned from Naraku.

I thought that the episode was okay. We finally found out why able to beat the sword from the previous episode so easily. Unfortunately, it was not because his opponent was weak as well. It was nice that much of the action that fans expect was also present here. We are finally introduced to the guy that has been appearing in opening and ending of the past three episodes. This is nice for those that have only watched the first anime, since, as far as I know, most of the people watching this would be the same people. While it is not necessary for those that have read the manga, it is good practice to make sure that people know the names of characters without having to look through other material, especially when that material has gone out-of-print. Outside of that, I cannot really say that there was anything else. The fact that we have now been introduced to pretty much everyone featured in opening and ending, as well as the fact that the action fans expect is still around, is certainly a good thing for this episode.

Although I would not necessarily say the episode was bad, there were definitely some issues. At first, I thought the there was a problem with how the new character was introduced, but looking at the scene where Inuyasha and the gang meets him, it turns out that things were not like how I thought. Because of this, I have lost my biggest complaint for the episode. However, that does not mean that are not any issues to be seen. It still definitely has that feel of being the new DBZ, but as things have become clear over the last three episodes that this show is not for newcomers, I do not think that I can hold that against the series, as fans most likely do not care that many consider it, along with Naruto, as the new DBZ. Because the biggest issue that I could think of turned out to not exist and I cannot think of anything different from the previous three episodes, I am going to say that there is not anything worth mentioning.

Considering that there really is not much bad worth mentioning that has not been mention or confirmed by the previous three, I would have to say that this was a decent watch. I recommend this to only current fans of Inuyasha.
